FAQ
Common questions.
When will I hear back?
We're onboarding in small batches. We'll reach out by email when a spot opens up for you — usually within a few days to a couple of weeks.
Is it free?
The platform is 100% free and always will be. The gateway is open source — you can self-host it with no limits. We also offer a hosted relay at api.commands.com with a generous free tier and optional paid plans for teams that want managed infrastructure.
What AI models are supported?
Claude (via Anthropic API) and Ollama for local models. Additional providers via agent-plugins as they mature.
Can I self-host the gateway?
Yes. The OSS gateway is publicly available for air-gapped or private deployments — no beta access required.
